J.W. DAVIS, "Crawfordsville Journal Review" - Crawfordsville, IN - E-mail | Archives


space J.W. Davis is known for his "From the Basement" cartoons that appear in The Weekly of NW Indiana and the Crawfordsville Journal Review in the Montgomery magazine monthly edition.

J.W. has been drawing pictures all his live but never really took his ability seriously until his wife and pastor encouraged him to pursue getting his cartoons published. After consulting with Dave Sattler, the editorial cartoonist for the Lafayette newspaper, J.W. left with the confidence to take his cartoons to his local newspapers.

J.W. served in the U.S. Air Force for four years and was stationed in southwest Belgium for three years. While living in Belgium he viewed a lot of artwork in chateaus, castles, cathedrals and monasteries iand in the Louvre museum in Paris.

J.W. lives in Crawfordsville with his wife Anita. He has a stepson, Andrew who will be entering high school this year. J.W. attends Love Outreach Christian Church and is employed full time at Fleetwood Travel Trailers in Crawfordsville.
